Symptoms

Prymnesium parva algae

Excess mucous ( Body)

Severe Gill damage
The attachment of the Gill lice causes major damage to gill filaments

Bloody lesions on body
Body shows one or more bloody lesions, where leeches have eaten into flesh.

Haemorrhages - fins
Fins are bleeding.

Jumping out of water
Fish makes attempts to jump out of water

Fish jump out of water
Fish periodically leap above water surface trying to get air.

Necrosis of mouth

Dissolved oxygen low < 6mg\L
Most aquatic fish in freshwater or seawater require oxygen levels above 6mg/L. Check oxygen level.

Listless and lethargic
Fish moves very lazily in water, much less than normal, lacks interest.

Toxins produced by algal blooms. Toxin is lethal at 5 ITU = Ichthyotoxic Unit/ml. At 25 units the entire stock can die within 1 day.

Outlook is very poor, unless rapid corrective action is taken.
