Squamous cell carcinoma

Symptoms

Fleshy external masses
Raised solid lesions on body or mouth

White/grey growths on head or jaw

Inability to close mouth
Large growths on jaw or lips block oral cavity

Periorbital swelling
Bumps or lesions appear right under or around the eyes

Cartilage destruction
Rapidly spreading destructive cells break down facial cartilage

Raised pigmented growths
Small coloured growths, caused by a parasite, appear on the body.

Reluctant to feed
Fish comes to eat but with evident lack of appetite.

Haemorrhages - skin
Bloody haemorrhages are apparent over several parts of the skin.

Ulcers - irregular
Irregular shaped ulcers are evident on the skin.

Neoplasm growth/tumour grows on some part of body, caused by some unclear development.

Growths can be malignant or benign, but untreated will usually grow larger. Prognosis is usually poor.
