Vitamin B6 deficiency (Pyridoxine Deficiency)

Symptoms

Ataxia
Fish appears to have lost all control of its bodily movements, it jerks.

Flexing of opercles
The fish keep flexing and unflexing their opercles.

Chinook Salmon turn green

Dark body colouration
The colours of the fish are darkened beyond their normal shade.

Generalized oedema
Body is swollen all over giving balloon-like appearance to fish.

Respiration rapid
Fish is breathing very fast, much faster than is normal.

Spasms - convulsions
Fish appears to be having a fit, jerking and twisting abnormally.

Lack of Pyridoxine in diet.

Excellent prognosis if diet corrected.
